Members who don't return PMs

OK, I'm gonna have to do it... Members who don't return PMs that have a question in it piss me off.

For instance someone say PMs me and says what's the price on x card. I reply and say well I was thinking about $y, how does that sound?

I find it rude when the person doesn't reply and say either no thank you or how about cheaper or whatever. Common courtesy in what is otherwise a fantastic board, is lacking in this area... I'm not having a dig at any particular member, but it's happened about 10 times and i'm now annoyed

Takes 2 seconds to shoot of a quick reply come on lads!

I have learnt that it happens, and hence why I had to put what I did on my thread.

I can't be holding up others whom want the card, for people whom don't reply back. So, had to enforce a strict first in first serve rule.

It sucks, I know

I'm probably guilty of this but not on purpose. I might be busy at work and see that I have a PM and I will read it with the intention to reply but I some times totally foget.

I sort of found a way around it by when I put a card up for sale I put a price on it that way people can decide before they PM if they want to buy or not.

Edit: that reminds me i better check my PM's.

I do it myself sometimes, but when ur at work tryin to sneak through a PM, or busy moving house, you hafta prioritise, and leave some for a day or so until you can spend a good half hour or so on the PC and clear the inbox!

Sometimes we need to realise some people don't have as much time to browse the forums as others.

But im quite often doing other stuff on the PC when im on here, and will open a PM, and forget to reply thinking i will do it later, the missus willthen get on the computer and close ozcards and i will completely slip my mind...

I know i have been guilty of it in the past and i do apoligise too anyone ive done it too...but when u have 3 little interuptions (i mean kids) running around distracting you sometimes things get forgotten, if i dont reply to a pm send me another calling me a rude prick

I know I've been guilty not returning PMs right away, but eventually yes.

I think it is worse when you have cards for someone off their wantlist and they never get back to you sheeesshh.

LOL.... I thought about starting this topic recently myself, but decided against it.... but since you started it.....

This annoys me too..... sure, I know sometimes people read them & can't reply at the time & may forget to reply.... heck I've done it myself; but if I send them another PM stating I'm still waiting for their reply & they STILL don't reply I think that's a bit rude..... has happened a few times (not just here).

And if you trying to sell somthing and you dont get response back MOVE ON !!

Yep, same here. I know it's annoying not to get a reply, but sometimes I'm busy and I open up the PMs and then forget to reply to them... and then they're not new any more, so I forget they're there.

I'll do my best not to do that in the future though.

I agree with this!!!

Some people obviously have much more time to spend on the forums than others

Yep. well I don't take it personally, it's just slack. replying literally takes a minute, if you don't have time to reply, dont send a message in the first place.
i know it's easy to forget, but when it takes days and reminders to get a reply that's not good enough. there are all sorts of good reasons but just being a slack arse is not one of them...

I know my situation was different, as I'd already sent the money, but hadn't given my address.

And to all others, there are times (especially weekends), where I quite often aren't home, or if I am home, I have to share connection with my room-mate.

I didn't have much problem with that, usually, everyone replied or if they didn't, i also forgot about it too.. so the possible deal is dead..

I hope i didn't do this to anyone yet too haha

The best way is, if someone doesn't reply you in certain time, u can forget about it.. and plus, selling cards with listed price, i find that very helpful and easy to deal with too.. it will also eliminates alot of unnecessary PMs....

I hardly make an offer to those who are selling cards without price list except some cards I really wanted.. but that's just me, but for PMs, i never find it annoying if someone doesn't reply me back..i just forget about it next day.

I don't think it's too tough guys - I have 3 kids and dialup!!!
I don't open a pm without replying to it that way if u don't open it it's there when u get back...having said that - I probably don't get as many as u guys!!
