Sorry hill33, no offence but why dont you just knock me out. LOL.
rhysjsolomon it was a joke mate. I added the "LOL" and theicon
to display it was in good humour. Where's your sense of humour...?? LOL:v:
That was a joke too huh, please. Obviously nobody knows me personally to know my
continuous sarcasim and sense of humour. But please believe me when I say every
comment I state followed by "LOL" or a funny icon is totally for a laugh and nothing personal, come on.
Back to the topic at hand about the 1/1 cards. Every individual has their own
opinion in regards to the whole first produced and last produced sequential
numbered cards being classified 1/1's, but I'm sure you know and I dont need to tell
you that 95% of card collectors would agree and say that #1/3(first) and #3/3(last)
printed cards are 1 of 1's.
I have some 1 of 1 cards I'm actually listing soon on my eBay account so whomever may
be interested be sure to check them out.

I personally wouldn't call this card a 1/1, but it clearly holds a special place for a number of collectors. But given that ebay takes no action against using 1/1 in a title or listing, and given that the title of an ebay auction is the main part of the auction advertisement, I don't see adding 1/1 there in this case as a real problem, even if I would probably not do it myself. I hate as much as anyone the difficulty in search for the genuine 1/1's on the bay (any tips anyone?), but nobody is going to bid on a card #ed/3 based solely on the fact that the title says 1/1...if they do it is there choice.
I once listed my Lebron 23/25 patch with 1/1 in the title (yes, to get more interest!) and ebay stopped the auction because it wasn't a 1/1!
So I thought they did take action????
or has that changed?
but I'm sure you know and I dont need to tell
you that 95% of card collectors would agree and say that #1/3(first) and #3/3(last)
printed cards are 1 of 1's.
Mate I get the feeling everybody is about to go to war over this whole issue with the
first and last cards numbered being considered to be 1-of-1's. LOL.
This shows that everybody is decided. My opinion is we're not saying IT IS A 1 OF 1,
but simply being the first one and the last one obviously means there is no other card like
it. You could turn around and say yeah but you could say that about every other card
because there would be no two cards of any other number either. Yeah fair enough.
Everybody understands the whole issue with the first and the last being a higher collectable
card compared to any other number though, you can't deny that. I have just listed a TRUE
1-of-1 card Dual auto which 1/1 machine stamping and nobody will argue this card.
But the thought and the visual appearance of the numbers is unique compared to all the
other sequential numbers in the set. The next best thing to an original genuine 1/1 card
would definetly be the player jersey number on the card being the same as the sequential
numbering, and then last the first and last cards are considered to be more sought after.
Because after this all the other sequential numbers mean nothing and have no extra
value for a collector.
So purely it is a marketing scheme to boost the advertising on the card, but it is a
worldwide fact that besides the jersey numbered card, the first and last cards are more sought after than any of the other numbered cards.
Now everybody please drop this topic, with every new post I see with an argument
or similar I think to myself, "Geez some people take their numbered cards EXTREMELY SERIOUS."
Now peace out, peace in, and peace off to all. Everybody please enjoy the rest of their
night/day where ever in the world you may be.
Kind Regards and God Bless
If it dosen't say 1/1 then its not a 1/1. End of store
