Melbourne/Vic Get-To-Gether? NBL Game?

hey all,

was wondering if any of you Melb/Vic members would be interested in a meet up like at an NBL game or something and maybe go out for a few beers afterwards? I reckon that would be fun...

I havent actually been to an NBL game Well apart from once when Melbourne and Townsville played a game at the schweppes centre in Bendigo but apart from that never

SO if anyone is interested we should organise it, go and see either Tigers or Dragons against my Kings? lol...any game would be cool

An NBL game sounds perfect, im looking forward to see how the Tigers go in their title defence, and how rusty Shane Heal has become in the past few years. Also who wouldn't want to see Todd Fuller? You saw him suck in the NBA, now watch him play in your national league!

so im keen for any game involving the Tigers.

Ive only ever been to the 1 game, in 2005 from memory, to see Andrew Gaze and the Tigers against West Sydney. It was a good game, and i actually had a nice seat. They had 1 game in Darwin when i was living there, but i was in melbourne , damn

well as i work shift work i just went through my roster (which goes thru till Nov 5) and i have these 2 saturdays off...let me know if any of you are available for them...

I'll be at both games and will do my best to get a large chunk of tix. The Bullets game will sell well so the Cairns game will be easier to get 20+ tix for.

I was thinking of a pub night and getting an NBL player to come and chat cheap stories all night as well. I think that would be a good night even if he couldn't match up with the ozcards stats crew LOL

With midweek games its a little tough but I know some recently retired guys with NBL rings that would be up for a beer. I'd have to have a good look at the NBL schedule and work something out. A city location would be best and one pub good for it would be the big Oxford Scholar on Swanston st. A central location is probably best for all and plent of transport and parking. Its the pub the Port Power use for functions after games and Mavs can vouch for the beer on tap and cheap Parmas. I go there regularly and could get some games etc on the big screen they have there too. Shouldn't be too hard if we drink $10,000 on the bar :-P
