Here are some photos I took during USA Basketball's 2001 Goodwill Games trip to Australia... games were in brisbane but these photos were taken in melb where the team trained before the tournament. I got plenty of auto on cards which i will post at some stage. I was very polite and respectful. Here's how the players were:
Baron - cool dude
Marion - was very patient and very pleasant, even signed his shoes and gave to a fan!
Rashard - always in a hurry, didnt have much time for anyone
J. Terry - nice guy, very accomodating
Kmart - real wanker, arrogant, and didnt have much time for anyone
Andre Miller - not bad
Wally Szcerbiak - a bit of a toss... approached him in the hotel lobby at crown towers
J O'Neal - very cool guy, was with his little daughter at the Crown Warner Bros shop when i approached and was still cool about it, nobody else around. Me and an NBA player practically 1 on 1.... was awesome
M Fizer - was nice, with his smokin hot girlfriend at the time in hotel lobby
Mike Miller - was also great in the hotel lobby
Battier - nice fella, also very nice and actually stopped and chatted with fans which was great
Again a great experience... i love being an autograph hunter
That's very cool, Branko!! Not everyday you get a photo with NBA players in your own country .... also very interesting their response to you. Considering they probably can't go anywhere without getting harrassed. Guess to be well-recognised in Australia would be a huge complement to them, though.
Thats awsome mate your one lucky guy , id really like to meet tmac and cp3 , marion would of been great he always seems like a happy kind of guy aswell. Well done man.
good god im such an idiot not to go to one of their games....ive got a few of their games on DVD....tell you what, K-Mart was awesome in Brisbane! but yeah not suprised he was a wanker lol...he played well though.
