Hi!

I actually did fall off my chair when I saw this on the McGrath Foundation website.....there are only 25 sets available (well 24 now that I grabbed one on Friday).

The set is $299 and it has been bought out to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Pink Test.

Thanks Matty. I've bought one as well and sent an SMS to Russell, in case he wants one too.

Not to be a party pooper, but I'm skeptical of the quality of the baggy green/pink in this instance. Note that it says "cotton" as opposed to the wool type material used in the Albion baggy greens. I think it's produced by "The Promotions Factory" www.tpf.com.au. Also, these are left-overs from 2012 and I recall asking a question of the McGrath Foundation shop last year, about the quality of the cotton caps but got no response.

So my thoughts are that they are simply recycling the items they were unable to sell last year and that the quality won't be all that flash. However, I've bought one anyway .... after all .... signed by McGrath PLUS a bonus signed ball. Decent value for money.
 
Wow! I am reminded of the Basil Fawlty line from the "Communication Problems" episode. "Do you know what this means Polly?...for the first time in my life I am actually in front!" :-)

Naz, don't feel too bad mate. The reason I "am like I am" with my collecting is that in 2004 the AFL had a Heritage round where they auctioned off signed, matchworn guerneseys on eBay and I literally was beaten in the last seconds (and by my dodgy dial-up internet connection!). I was crestfallen and ever since have snapped up things that I really wanted for myself or someone else without hesitation.

The Pink set has gone really quick, I am quite surprised.

Overall I am really pleased with the set (you can have a better look in my mailday).
 
Got an email back from the McGrath Foundation about the gift set ...

"Thanks for your email. We have currently sold out of the Gift Set, however we are hoping to receive more stock very soon. Please check out website periodically to keep yourself updated."

My mate will be happy to hear this .... but WTH .... I thought it was limited to 25 :eek:
 
Mine just arrived in the post today. It is NOT numbered.

Quality is great - the cotton cap has been manufactured by Albion - so I stand corrected!
