Last night at the Penrith vs Parra game I notice that when all the players came out to warm up on the field, Jarryd Hayne was wearing jersey number 20. Now all of the players had their correct jerseys on during warm ups that they wore in the game. No other players changed numbers.

Now when he ran out on to the field he was wearing number 1.

Being the card collecting obsessive I am, I was wondering whether or not this number 20 jersey was being used for some other purpose, like being cut up for a card?

Maybe I am reading too much into this and need to give my self an upper cut and have a rest for a few minutes.

I dont know.....would be cool if it were the case though!

Cheers

Yep, would be cool but in reality wishful thinking so I wreckon your reading too much into it.

Perhaps he was trying to disguise the fact he was starting at fullback given the importance of the game and his brilliant strategic mind......

Reading way too much into it. Apparently Select would have to do game used by hand. Funniest explanation i have ever heard.

I think you are reading too much into it........the 2003 game used jerseys cards were made by machine and finished by hand, so I have been told. Select don't have the machines to make patch cards (pity)............... the only way I think we NRL collectors will see a Jersey card is if the licence for NRL cards goes to another company.

i noticed that at the game myself, doubt its for cards though, even then hayne isn't someone i want a jersey patch of .
