Let me know what you think :)

Peja Shoots Hornets To Victory In Season Opener

New Orleans 68, Orlando 64

NEW ORLEANS, LA, Nov 5 2006 -- It took some last quarter heroics from Peja Stojakovic, but the New Orleans won the season opener at home with a scroe of 68-64 over the Orlando Magic.

Peja scored 10 of his game high 20 points in the last quarter as the hornets came from behind for the victory. Heading into the last quarter the Hornets were down by 8.

Playing a lot of the game without Chris Paul (Foul Triuble) and David West (sprained ankle, wont miss any games), the Hornets reserves came up big. The best of them being Bobby Jackson with 10 points and 5 assists. Other good players for New Orleans were Paul (in limited mins) with 11 points and 5 assists and Tyson Chandler (who played nearly the whole game before fouling out) with 4 points, 7 rebounds and a block.

Best for the magic was Jameer Nelson with 19pts and 7asts, Grant Hill with 18pts, 4rebs and 4stls. Rookie JJ Redick started for the magic on opening night and scored 14 points, while big man Dwight Howard had 7pts and 7 rebs

New Orleans 63, Atlanta 56

NEW ORLEANS, LA, Nov 12 2006 -- The New Orleans hornets continued their winning streak today, with a hard fought victory over the strong finishing Atlanta Hawks. Leading by as much as 14 points during the 3rd quarter, the Hawks came back, briefly taking the lead in the final quarter, before Bobby Jackson hit a few clutch shots to help sink the hawks.

Cool idea! I dont think i could come up with that much to write about each game i play lol. I would be like "We one the computer sucks yeh!!!!!!!"
What system u playing it on? I only just bought my self NBA Live 2006 for Gamecube & started a season last night wayyy more fun than NBA2k5 was kinda disapointed with parts of that

Playing on PS2, bought Live 07 for the PS2 and it SUCKED MAJORLY so bought 2k7, and never will buy EA SPORTS games again :)

yeh ive herd 2k7 is better than live 07, how come? After playing 06 last night i cant imagine what could be wrong with the newer one lol!

Game Play Sux, Graphics are Bad, jUst generally sucked +

there is a bug where the opposition dont fatigue so the starters dont sub off unless they get into foul trouble

ohh that sucks! Live 07 is the only one with Schenscher too :( lol!
Im not sure if this is coming out in Australia but looks like a bit of a diffrent take on a basketball game NBA 07 The Life Vol 2
anyways sorry for hijacking your thread with randomness :)

hey thats awesome.... I need to have a thread for my BAttlefield 1942 exploits....

Private Wolverine marches up the ranks with 51 kills at Tobruk and only 2 deaths.... thanks to some miracle healing... and some very nice Panzers Wolverine killed many Britons... LOL

This is cool - I like the idea :D

Go Matty!!! That's awesome, love the write-ups!!!

I just got this game myself, and after playing both Live and 2K7 on the Xbox, 2K7 on the 360... Ummm, SHITS over anything I've seen! Still yet to see Live 07 on the 360.

Keep up the good work!

I just started an Association with the Mavs, beat the Kings by 7. Dirk had 24 & 6 (with 2 steals).

thanks for the comments guys! Yeh Peja and Paul are both looking good early in the season :)

David West heads west

NEW ORLEANS, LA, Nov 12 2006 -- New Orleans G.M. Mathew Smith announced today that the club had traded PF David West, SF Rasual Butler and a 2007 2nd round draft pick to the Golden State Warriors for young guns Mickael Pietrus and Andris Biedrins.

The move was made despite the club having a 3-0 record. When asked about the trade, Smith told us that team owner Ryan Lantz has demanded that there be some roster changes.

West leaves the club with stats of 10.0ppg, 3.3rpg and Butler with stats of 4.7ppg.

Paul layup seals Hornets victory

New Orleans 56, Milwaukee 54

MILWAUKEE, WI, Nov 13 2006 -- The New Orleans Hornets came within 6.5 seconds of blowing an 18 point half time lead to the Milwaukee Bucks on their home court. With less than a minute to go, Mo Williams gave Milwaukee their first lead of the game with a running layup. Peja Stojakovic tied the game with 30 seconds to go with a jumper from just inside the 3pt line. It appeared the game was heading for overtime as Chris Paul stepped out of bounds along the base line on a drive with 10 seconds to go, but new hornet Andris Biedrins managed to steal the inbound pass, give it off to Paul for the layup. Milwaukee's Bobby Simmons then missed a jumper to send it in to overtime with 1.4 seconds left!

Best players for the Hornets were Chris Paul with 16pts, 9ast and 3rebs and Peja Stojakovic with 14pts.

Mo Williams led the bucks with 22pts & 6ast and Michael Redd had 17pts and 4ast. Aussie center Andrew Bogut had 3pts, 10reb and 2 blocked shots.

No games today Matty???

What's the season record so far?

I've just started with the Mavs, and not sure but I think I feel I should be on a higher setting (Pro, 5 mins) and I'm 3-1..... Not winning by heaps, when I've won.

No games for the next few days, working :( 12 hour shifts suck, but the 4 days on, 4 days off gives me plenty of time to play in the days off :p

record so far Scotty is 6-0 (got a couple i need to write up), im thinking of going up 1 level of difficulty, might send me on a losing streak tho :( lol

Hornets outlast Suns

New Orleans 64, Phoenix 51

NEW ORLEANS, LA, Nov 17 2006 -- New Orleans stretched their winning streak to 5 wins today, after outlasting the Phoenix Suns. In what was a very close game, up untill New Orlenas blew it out in the final 2 minutes. Both teams shot very poorly (less than 40%) from the field.

Coming off the bench, Bobby Jackson led the hornets in scoring with 17 points. Peja Stojakovic scored 14pts, and continued to lead the league in scoring. Chris Paul had 11pts, 11ast and 5 reb in another great all-around performance, and Tyson Chandler had 8 pts, 7 rebs (4 offensive!) and 2blks.

The Suns were led by 2 time MVP Steve Nash with 16pts and 5ast. Shawn Marion 9pts and 2 stls, while last year's MIP Boris Diaw had 8pts and 12 rebs.

Great idea, mate. I used to do these kind of write ups with the 2K series way back on the Dreamcast! Looks to me like you need to be on superstar level, my friend. :)

Hornets shutdown Wizards

New Orleans 58, Washington 33

NEW ORLEANS, LA, Dec 12, 2006 -- New Orleans showed today, that not only can they score with the best of them (they currently are the highest scoring team in the league), but they can also play shut down defence. They held the Washington Wizards to just 33 points, and holding them to less than 25% shooting from the floor. New Orleans led from start to finish and it was never really close. 2 of the 3 Washington big guns failed to fire with Gilbert Arenas hitting just 1/9 field goals and Caron Butler 1/7.

Peja Stojakovic led the Hornets with 16pts and 9reb and 6th man Bobby Jackson had 14pts off the bench. Chris Paul was valuable once again with 10pts, 9ast, 6reb and 2stls & Tyson Chandler had 4pts, 8 reb and 2 blk.

Antawn Jamison led the wizards with 12pts and 7 reb. Gilbert Arenas had 6pts and 5ast and DeShawn Stevenson had 6pts and 6reb.

In a big blow for the hornets, newly acquired swingman Mickael Pietrus went down with a severe ankle sprain and is expected to miss 3 weeks, putting him out of action untill the new year.
