I noticed on some of the first Matt Moylan jersey cards that have shown up that the patches are from a Panthers Black home jersey, not the white alternate jersey as shown on the card.
Now if we are going by the other jerseys they have used in this set they at least appear to match the jerseys worn in the first round of the semi finals, the same games which are all mentioned on the cards.
It appears that in Moylan's case the jersey might still be match worn but its not from the game they have mentioned on the front or the back of the card details.
Its possible its could have come from the preliminary final against the Bulldogs 2 weeks later where they wore the black jerseys?
The card does state that its an authentic match worn jersey, but it doesn't specifically mention in which game.
But the way the card is printed it leaves you to believe that it was from the Roosters game (in which the Panthers wore the white alternate jerseys and won 19-18).
not a fan of the patch facing the wrong way - the stripes should have been going the other way on the patch IMO. Also a little deceiving the way the card pictures the white jersey.
They may have used a game worn jersey and got the match wrong. There is no way to prove any are game worn jersey,s they have used for any of the cards unless they have stated with authenticity they are. Then again some of the home made authenticity are not worth the paper they are written on. It is just a application and fee and away you go write as many as you wan before you get caught. The cards in this discussion if the jerseys are either game worn or not would not effect me. At the end of the day it is a jersey card.
If they aren't going to be from that specific game why didnt they just get some better players from lesser matches. Not being critical of moylan as a choice more so some of the other team choices. You may as well no mention a match on the front if the jersey is not from that game.
I don't really care about being game worn or not, because i don't care much for game worn stuff but I do expect the jersey to at least match the game listed on the card.
If they advertise the cards as game worn jerseys they really should say what game it is from.
The inconsistency with the picture is clearly a stuff up (or maybe it is the only image they paid for) but by not noting what game it is horrible. Why should it be up to the collector to look back to see what jerseys were worn at what games to work out what game the game worn jersey card comes from?
