Decided to get one of these boxes for fun, and was impressed. Even though there are only 20 packs per box - I love how you get a hit out of every pack.
No green PMG - but given there is about a 95% chance of not scoring one in any given box - this wasn't surprising or disappointing. I completed the base set, and overall I think I did well with the insert hit rate.
Here's what I scored from the more common inserts:
4 x Fleer Retro stickers (1:5 packs)
5 x 1994 Fleer Ultra X-men (1:5 packs)
7 x Fleer Marvel Metal (7:20 packs)
1 x 1994 Marvel Universe V Power Blast Design (1:10 packs)
3 x 1990 Impel Marvel Universe Design (1:12 packs)
3 x 1991 Impel Marvel Universe II Design (1:15 packs)
Scans of the bigger scores:
1) Base Parallel Signature cards (1:10 packs) Left to Right artists Steve Epting (my second autograph pull of his), Mike Bagley, and Olivier Coipel.
2) 1992 Impel Marvel Universe III Design (1:20 packs) #7 Iron Man and #4 Dead Pool
3) PMG's! : Domino (28/100), and Spider-man (28/50)
4) Base parallel sketch card (1:20 packs) #14 Ghost Rider (unsigned by artist - any ideas?)
5) Quickstrike (1:40 packs) #21 of 21QS Quicksilver
6) Fleer Ultra Stars (1:40 packs) #6 Mr. Fantastic
7) And the score of the box... Autographed 1990 Impel Marvel Universe Design(1:576 packs! ) #8 Hawkeye signed by artist Paul Renaud
Funny how this signature is much rarer than a sketch and a Jambalaya combined - yet is almost certainly worth much less than either lol.
**Finally, not to forget the six packets of cards that OZCT members Mr. and Mrs. Trading Cards generously threw in for free - 2 x MGB, 2 x SWG7, and 2 x DC Superman
From Marvel's Greatest Battles: no hits but great to see what this set is like
From Star Wars Galaxy 7: 1 x Silver Foil (1:3 packs), and 1x Etched Foil Puzzle (1:6 packs)
From DC Superman The Legend: Not one, but two X-ray Vision cards (1:24 packs ) I would put up a scan of these but you need your x-ray vision to see them (aka a heat source)
Anyway, loved the Fleer Retro set, can't decide whether to go all out now and start collecting it seriously.
