Has anyone heard about the Marvel Beginnings 2011 series?

They are by Upper Deck. There was part 1 released earlier this year and 2 other parts planned. The intention is to have a 540 card base set (180 in each part) plus various types of inserts, with holograms and sketch cards as the big hit. Holograms / sketch cards are about 1 per 3 boxes.

It is not a popular set for two reasons. One is the relatively low hit ratio: the holograms are pretty boring and some of the sketches are not good. The second reason is the distribution policy: UD now only allows certain shops to sell their products and this has wiped out much of the eBay sealed box sales.
