Bit the bullet and bought a case.

Here's how I went with the first six boxes.

Box 1:

i) Jim Salicrup (former Marvel editor) autograph (I wont bother uploading the sigs unless I get a Stan Lee or Tom DeFalco)

ii) Xmen Hologram Card (1:72 packs) - H71 Marvel Girl

Box 2:

i) Bill Jemas (former Marvel writer and VP) autograph. (Yes, my only pull for the whole box )

Box 3:

i) Marvel Girl(?) sketch by Erik Reeves

Box 4: (completed base set on very last pack of this box)

i) Xmen Hologram card - H45 Armor

ii) Deadpool sketch by Michael 'Locoduck' Duron

Box 5:

i) Vision sketch by Uko Smith

ii) Ultimate Collection Panel Focus Card (1:288 packs - Wow!) UM9 Amazing Spider-man #5

Box 6:

i) Dan Green (inker) autograph card

ii) Quasar(?) sketch by Kevin Sharpe

That's it so far. Definitely worth getting the case noting I didn't even have the base set complete until four full boxes were busted. Still missing heaps from the chase sets.

Pulls got better from box 3 on...

Will post more as I bust more

Cheers for the comments guys. Like Dave, my favourite sketch so far is Quasar, but I do love the Deadpool as well.

Well, here's my hits from the next three boxes.

Box 7:

i) Steve Epting autograph. I am uploading this one as Epting did the cover art for the issue (card), which makes it cool (though probably not any more valuable lol)

ii) Xmen Hologram Card - H50 Cable

Box 8: (completed 45-card Avengers chase set on second-last pack of this box)

i) Xmen Hologram Card - H43 Angel

ii) Wasp sketch by Rhiannon Owens

Box 9:

i)
Magneto sketch by Ian Yoshio Roberts

That's it for now. Am having a lot of fun tracking down the artist names based on their signature 'marks'.

Should be able to bust the last 3 boxes over the weekend, and will post on Monday.

Will put any Lord Mesa sketch aside for you Dave

Rhiannon Owens is a good one to get...

Don't know how you're managing to string the busts out...sealed boxes usually don't last too long around me !! I'm looking forward to an assorted box break of my own tomorrow !

Heh heh yeah man - a box bust seems to be over in minutes once the base set is complete.
From then on it's just ploughing through looking for the big chase or sketch hits - everything else just goes into a big 'later' pile.
Had a day off to bust the first 6, but am snatching time for the rest (but they wont last long )

Cheers Dave, that is a very helpful site (such a good idea too). Will keep it handy.

That site is great, used it myself many times, but I was wondering if we should start a thread up on here where we scan the sigs of the cards we've all pulled and compile them into a permanent reference ?

That sounds good to me, I have a few I can add.

Nice break so far. I really like the Deadpool sketch. I have been contemplating a case of this myself with the great price DA has it for.

And the last three...

Box 10:

i) Autograph card of inker John Beatty

ii) 1/1 Yellow printing plate of card #307 - Sage

Box 11: (completed 60-card Marvel Prime Micromotion chase set on second last pack of this box)

i) Autograph card of colourist Laura Martin. Meh

Box 12:

i) Cannonball sketch by Lak Lim

Nice to finish off with a sweet colour sketch.

For the case overall, I beat the sketch-card-pull odds (by one), and matched the odds for all the other rare pulls. Then there was the bonus of a printing plate, so no complaints about the hit rate.

For the guys thinking about getting a case of MB2, I would say most definitely go for it - I think the Micromotion chase cards in particular are a really nice looking subset. And, as has been mentioned by a few of us - these cases are relatively cheap now.

Of course I now have an insane amount of spare base and chase cards from this set, so let me know if you want or need anything.

Billy.
