Malice at the palace - detailed article

Pretty amazing times really. Its no wonder the NBA clamped down on everything related to keeping the game clean. These guys made the league look like a ghetto.

Giving away my age a bit, but I actually watched that game live at the time, and as a Pacers fan it still makes me sick to see players that I admired (at the time) act like complete thugs. Having said that, the thing that was most disappointing was the lack of punishment handed out to the Pistons, given that it was a Pistons fan that escalated the whole ugly incident. Thankfully nothing like that has ever come close to happening since.

Read this the other day when you posted it on twitter, great read. After reading everyones views on it you can see it was just one of those things were a combination of incidents meet creating chaos.

Incredible scenes. Just unbelievable that there weren't serious injuries out of this.

Artest is a complete dunce, anyone with an Artest PC who watched that interview and that behaviour would surely want to sell up immediately.

The great irony is that Artest cost the Pacers and all of his teammates any shot at a Championship and his request for a trade was a total slap in the face to his Pacers teammates who backed him up that night, and then he ends up with a ring himself with the Lakers (along with Brown & Person). Hardly fair.....no karma there.

Pistons seemed to be punished accordingly IMO
Just realised that I may not have been totally clear in my previous post...the Pistons PLAYERS were punished accordingly, none of them really did that much other than Wallace right at the start of the whole thing, but what I meant was the Pistons Organisation, as a whole were not reprimanded in any way, and I thought that it sent the wrong message, almost making it seem that it was all the players fault, when in fact they were reacting to an incident caused by a Pistons supporter.

I know people have their light bulb moments and decide to change etc but he clearly has some psychological issues. And Metta World Peace is a big middle finger OR straight up publicity whoring IMO as he has had some brain snaps this season already and is no monk or peace advocate that's for sure.
