Well this is the last big random lot of assorted NBA goodness...... Sitting at home injured sure does boost the mailday volume!

The Cheap Stuff

Up first some inserts and base - first MJs that have landed in my mailday in quite some time!

Always liked this MJ because it reminds me of his competitive drive and natural athleticism.

Plus it's a bit of an oddball so it fits right in with my collecting style - or lack thereof!

IMG_0033-2.jpg

Another MJ - I mean um, er, Johnny Kilroy - promising rookie season but then he just disappeared off the radar as fast as he come on it! ;-)

Another oddball I had to have to remind me of the good old days!

IMG_0031-2.jpg

...and a few parallels / inserts. Accidentally doubled up on the TSC 1st Day Issue!

The Never Ending (GU) Story

T-Mac Superlative Swatch - no idea why I picked this one up just liked the look of the card and the jersey piece

IMG_00192-1.jpg

Kidd Genuine Coverage - double barrell! One of the nicer looking GU imo

IMG_0022-3.jpg

Mash Net Assets

IMG_0027-3.jpg

Mash Topps Jersey Edition (square jersey piece)

IMG_0024-3.jpg

Mash UD Game Gear upgrade (so many good pinstripe variations to be had!)

IMG_0026-3.jpg

Mash All-Star Weekend Authentics - this was from his only NBA All-Star appearance in 2003

..for the record he dropped 10 points in 14 minutes with 4 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals. For that reason alone this GU takes on special significance!

Random Auto Time!

What would one of maildays be without the odd auto which doesn't even make sense! Really a big fan of the Press Pass - nice simple design and big clear on card autos.

....guys who can ball in summer league

Jerryd Bayless on card auto /127 - still remember when he dropped 42 ins SUmmer League and thought this guy could really ball! Just needs to hone his jumper....

IMG_00122-1.jpg

...guys who can shoot - don't know why all his cards show him throwing down - he's kinda goofy looking at the best of times!

Kapono SPX Rookie Auto Jersey /1999

IMG2-4.jpg

...guys who could just flat out play!

Great passing Centre and true pivot player... Brad Daugherty on card auto

Gerald Green SPA Rookie Authentics on card auto /1299

IMG_00072-3.jpg

Jason Richardson - accidentally doubled up on this one too

IMG_00052-4.jpg

Spud Webb on card auto - nice college shot, people forget he was a 4th round (87th overall) pick!

IMG_00142-2.jpg

More love for Spud! Fleer Greats of the Game on card auto

IMG_00033-3.jpg

..and another undersized dunk champ and another Fleer Greats of the Game on card auto!

It's Dee Brown for those not familiar with old school cult heroes! He doesn't actually have too many autos out there so happy to land this one.

IMG_00022-4.jpg

Changing it up - some nice patchy goodness

Spencer Hawes SP Rookie Threads Dual 'painted patch' # 24/50

IMG_00182-1.jpg

Quincy Pondexter Limited Patch #11/25 - stoked to have landed this one because have been outbid on several of his nicer patches

The Biggest Additions (by my standards)

Gonna miss Yao, pure Centre and pure class!

Yao Ming Autofocus - love acetate autos and this one is massive!

IMG_0035-2.jpg

Gary 'The Glove' Payton Ultimate Sigs - would've preferred Sonics uni but I'm not complaining!

IMG_0037-1.jpg

As Porky Pig would say 'That's All Folks!' - thanks for stopping by and comments always appreciated!

Always so much & So old school man ! I love It ... I had NO idea Spud Webb was 87th overall pick ! ... That's a hell of a stat ... A+ Mailday !

Super cards, maybe the Duncan and Garnett one was the best. Not sure what Yao's autograph says, and Kirilenko's as well. Maurice Ager didn't waste ink, maybe his autograph is a combination of M and A. On his card, Spencer Hawes didn't look happy when picked by the Kings, or maybe the uniform design shocked him a bit. Brad Daugherty is a race car commentator, that is a bit odd. I think he just wanted to be like Larry Nance, as Nance was involved with drag car racing when he was on the Cavs.

Spudd webb FTW! Love the ex set additions skip great set.

Thanks mate - definitely a great looking product. Getting harder to track down the lower numbered and higher pick rookies for a decent price... Most expensive Maurice Ager card I've ever seen or purchased!

Sexy Bowen auto there Skip!!!!

Sums up what the dude was all about - not the most talented player on earth but did whatever it took to win. All heart and an 3 time NBA Champ too - so heart of a champion is a pretty fitting card for him!

That's what makes his story an interesting one. Spent first two College years at a Community College and then spent his last two at NC State where he only averaged about 10 & 5. Drafted 87th by the Pistons and subsequently waived - picked up by the Hawks and went on to have a better pro career than he did in college....

Of course i remember Dee Brown, he's got my favourite dunk of all time

Gotta get myself a Ceballos auto if possible - but yeah, pretty sure he could see through that blindfold! Dee's was better!

KG / Duncan is nice....havent seen before. Top pick ups all round.

Never saw much of Topps Contemporary but the more I see of it the more I like it! Nice swatch in the KG too!

Yao's auto says 'Yao Ming'! heh Ager, Carney and a few others have notoriously abbreviated bad sigs. I knew Nance was into drag racing but not Daugherty - guess you develop common interests playing 7 years together! Hawes never looks happy - but I guess that's his best 'don't drive the lane on me' face, but that wouldn't even deter a fifth grader....

What a huge bunch of cards!
I'm a big fan of the GOTG Auto set too; beautifully designed set.

Yep, agree 100%! GOnan bust some of the new stuff? ;-) Been a while since you posted last - welcome back stranger!

funny about that Sean Elliott, i scored the same card today from (Dave) Who Dat! Nice mail day!

Sounds like you had a nice mailday yourself! Followed his career through his Arizona days too - so card in his college uniform probably means more to me than one in his Spurs uni.....

Nice J Kilroy ;) Wonderful Stockton GUs - nice lot mate

Card I always wanted ages ago but which I never managed to get hold of.... Stockton collection is lagging behind a bit, but he's not a huge signer and there seems to be renewed interest in his cards....so just have to be content with what I can grab!

great pick-up especially for KG-TD =)
and just want to share

Yes, I believe that particular move was known as the hokey pokey! :-P He actually has a few of those 360 spins in his highlight reels....

Some really random stuff in there mate :) Just makes it even more interesting

Interesting? Isn't that what you say when the missus asks what you think of her latest shoes, handbag or jewellery accessories? Yeah, I've got a wandering eye for cardboard and can appreciate what heaps of players brought to he table with their respective games which is my collection has more sprawl than the average UFC bout...

As always, great variety of additions. love the Q-pon jersey number patch!

Not quite hitting the same quality patches as certain people on here - but it is one of my better ones!
