My scanner auto crops them to each card if they're a cm apart. but on my old one i just scanned a bunch then cut and pasted them in the 'paint' program.

Yep - simply just open the can in a photo editing software such as Paint Shop Pro or whatever else & you can slice each one out of their easy as pie. :)

I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager (M$OPM) and the following process:

* Scan 8 cards at a time.
* Create 7 copies of that initial image.
* Use M$OPM to crop each of the 8 images to individual cards.
* Rename the 8 images to something more appropriate.

[* Then I crop and align further] - this step is not necessary though

I use Adobe Photoshop CS3. Scan your image or 9 cards. Then open your image in the editing program. Use the select tool to box around each card one at a time and copy the selection. Create a new blank image and paste, then save it as a jpeg. Easiest way to do it for all the seperate cards.

What he said, auto-crop. But failing this I scan individually. Rarely have multiples I'm scanning atm.

My scanner bed is "cuts" off the borders, so I stick a ruler on the scanner bed to give a "border".

I can scan only 4 cards at 1 time.

Scan 4 cards, crop 1 card, save it, undo the crop, repeat for each next card.

Delete the parent scan (scan of all cards).

Repeat as desired.
