I have stopped collecting cards for a couple of years. A few months ago, I attempted to get back into cards. I got a card that I thought was pretty rare and would do well as trade bait. I've gotten fair offers for it, but I got more curious. I started researching the card and made a few phone calls to UD and also got some insight from some HK members about this short run cards from 04-05 SPX Flashback Fabrics.
I found myself getting back into cards, but this time, I seek quality over quantity. For those that know me, I tend to put together what I seem to perceive as mini auto sets-yeah, weird right?
Anyway, I thought that due to the rarity of the cards, it may take me a while to put them together. This would lead me to segment my goals and prolong my anxiety.
Well, this mailday cemented my search. It is now over. Here are the two I received in the past few months:
Nice big signature. There may only be a few cards out there with the combination of a pic of LeBron wearing a retro jersey and a GU/auto card. This may be limited to 23, or 10.
I know of 2 other products that has a picture of a Kobe auto in retro uniform: ProSigs and SP Game Used.
Again, this may only be the set that has his retro jersey pic along with a gu/auto. Same scarcity, I believe.
Finally, the mailday:
Not quite sure how many cards out there shows a young MJ wearing retro Bulls ( well retro now- current at that time) with a auto/gu. Same scarcity- or maybe more. I think the only reason I got this at a good price was that his autos within the hobby have gotten more affordable.
