Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice thanks.
On Ebay a guy is selling
Asst Maggi NRL cards (PNG mid 2000's) at $25-$30 ea
Telstra Phone Cards 1997 3 card team sets for $149 or best offer

Can anyone tell me much about these cards and their value you have seen them go
for? Are these over the top prices or you just never see these up for sale?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me, Cam.

These are very rare and hard to find. If you own these sort of items, I guess you can advertise them at any price you want as they are hard to find. It just comes down to if you want to pay that price or wait untill you can find them cheaper. Patents is the game in my book. Unless you want something sooner and not want the hassle of finding them again.

Hey Cam

I've bought some of the Warriors Maggi cards for around $15, but as Moz says they don't come up often. Depends on how patient you are. Some of those Warriors up now are cards I haven't seen before

As an aside, LOL at the guy who has listed all those Warriors ones, but won't post to NZ. Cuts the market down a bit!

Don't see the maggi cards often, but as a few people have already said, if you have patience, they will surely show up sooner or later. As for the phonecards, A guy last year had a whole set for $400 and they were mint, so unused. Have seen those 3 trio sets for that $149 price and from what I could tell, they are used, so have holes punched. They come up a bit, so probably will be sure to see these again if you can be patient. Hope this helps. I myself am after a little over half the 1997 phonecards that are unused. Slowly getting there

LOVE THAT!! - In relation to Maggi Cards,
People seem to be under the impression if you are patient, They will come up eventually?

I have it from a very reliable source that there was a mission worker bringing the cards back from PNG in the early 2000's, selling them and taking the money back and donating it to various groups over there.
By 2005/2006 everyone was more aware of their existence, the info was more readily available as the internet was taking off, People were writing away and getting large amounts of them.
- So that's why there seems to be more of those 2 sets.
Whatever is in the country from the early sets 1999-2002, Is all that is here... And was bought in by the same guy.

Apart from chance of big collectors selling up as DK is doing (Which isn't real likely) All that there is, is all that there is...
And it's not much!! And they're 12-15 years old now...
I could name about half a dozen guys with them in their collection, And I can't imagine they will be parting with them..

As I said, The whole amount that were originally bought in wasn't much to start with!!
To my knowledge, There isn't anyone in Australia with a complete set of 2001's, 2002's or 2004's (let alone with spares to sell!!)

Until recently, no-one I knew could even tell you what was in them, You can forget them telling you where you can buy them!!...

- Just a bit of info I came across whilst putting together the checklists!!

I made the comment that you had to be patient to find these cards. I should have also stated that it is the only way to find them and no matter how patient you are you will still pay big money for these. Paitents only comes into play when looking for them. Not to buy them cheaper. As stated before they are rare and hard to find and that is an understatement. A bit like the siganature tazos

You've done a brilliant job getting those checklists together batboy, it's an important piece of work that no doubt took a lot of dedication.

Do you have any info about the mid-90s PNG cigarette card sets, out of curiousity? I believe there were two of them ...

these were sent to me years ago. I believe they were compiled by Peter Clarke

Just thought i'd mention card 79 from 1995 is not reds/bulldogs, it is listed this way on the actual checklist cards but the actual card is wests/bulldogs.
