Today. i got nothing to do at home.. so i was just sitting home and waiting for postman to come....

Coz i have been expecting registered post today... yesterday, my pc's HDD failed and i have been using mac.. which i never configured anything, so i can't scan pics., can't print, can't read those memory drives.... and had nothing to do..

anyways, there was a postman this afternoon, so, i walked to the door and hoping i was gonna sign, then i opened the door, wooopppp!!!.. the postman has already left, so for a moment, i was disappointed with the eBay seller, he should have sent me this week (sorry ebay seller for early misunderstanding ), since i made a payment on monday.. so, i just checked my inbox, and there it is.. pickup paper.. it took only 4-7 seconds for me to get to my mailbox.., no kidding, i counted again...:(

And i missed the postman... how can he write on that piece of paper so fast , drove away and left the paper in 7 seconds???? I think he must have written long before he reached my place...

So far, i lost 3 packages in last 3 months.. one package contained 5 exquisite cards for my set..and the rest are all autos.. i think i am prettty disappointed with POST services lately.. needless to add, 4 of my overseas packages have been opened for quarentine purpose.. and they didn't even put it back properly... oh and.. another mail, arrived 2 weeks late, opened, and misrouted to other place (coz i know nobody would deliver mail at 11pm and in front of the door while there is mailbox).. and best of all the address is exactly mine..

ok, i feel better now.. never had my own one here before..:D

thanks for reading...

I very rarely lose items but i've had a $300 signature parcel left on the doorstep and yes, they seem to have a culture of writing the slips and not bothering to bring the items, unless of course it was a large package?

Andrew, lucky you.. it's been happening quite frequent to me lately, before that, i never lost anything except one package from US.. the seller wrote 928 in stead of 9 dollar 28 cents, forgot the dot . between the numbers... so the package came empty.. apart from that, i never lost anything, until this year, i even lost basketball box :(

yes.. when i bought from singapore, they sent with fed-ex or another courier, they knocked on your doorstep, also fastway and TNT did the same with my ebay buys.. but POST.. they don't bother to knock anymore.. and it's just 2 cards, and not even thick ones.. just ultimate signatures.. :(

well, i will take shower and go pick it up...

thanks for reading.... indeed, this feels much better...

Bloody posties!!!

6 weeks ago, I had ordered some metallic seals for envelopes etc, which were engraved with me and my finace's names and the date of our upcoming wedding. The seller "forgot" to write 'do not bend' on the envelope, but it doesn;t matter, as I was standing about 3 metres away from the letterbox, in our front yard when the postie came and he just folded the envelope in half and shoved it in the letterbox, right in front of me. I knew what the parcel was, as I wasn't expecting anything else and the postie definitely saw me, so needless to say, I was mighty pi$$ed off!

Well, this past 10 days or so have been the icing on the cake! We have received several letters for next door and 2 of my card parcels have gone next door and today he bent my Beckett in half to get it in the mailbox! Annoys the hell out of me, as we do not have a big front yard and have a wide path all the way to the door, that he could easily ride his bike down. The Beckett was between 2 bits of cardboard and while it wouldn't take the Governator to bend it, you couldn't just do it with 1 hand either.

Not happy Jan!!!

Awww.. that's terrible postie...

i am shocked they want to fold the stuff they don't know inside.. i mean, if it can be fold, they should probably think the sender would have folded first.. i really hate when neighbour's mails arrive to my mailbox.. probably we need 10 feet length, 5 feet high and 5 feet wide mailbox for our posties...

Only ever lost 1 item myself and that was a $5 Anstey Autographics! Others have taken ages to arrive but all have arrived :)

That's very good.. I don't wanna lose anymore.. and i hope POST people will give a little bit more attention... rather than treating things as craps...........

Im waiting for a Lebron RC BGS 9.5 Gem Mint. Still no sign after 5 weeks. Had filed paypal dispute...

I lost a few packages in transit but I got my money back on most of them... It is annoying if you really like the card and if its rare to come by... :(

Oh., BGS 9.5. i hope it arrives to you soon... I tried to open dispute on paypal, the seller has proof for package sent, so i closed it, i mean, for exquisite base cards... i bought 4 times from this before this incident... never took more than a week from US.. that's why i love POST.. :D

dont get me started on australia post... here's how it goes for me...

I live in a 4 lot of duplexs.. basically 4 doors no more than 5 metres apart. My door has a HUGE 4 on it, my mailbox is about 5m from my door and the parcel lady STILL cant come to my door. In fact once i was standing out the front having a smoke, she turned up, RAN across the road, shoved the slip in my mailbox even though i was standing there then proceeded to run back to her van and drive off even though i had yelled out "hey im here".

if that wasnt annoying enough, i complained at the local PO and this is what the lady said "Oh they dont have to come to your door as its a unit." If only there was an alternative =/

Well, sounds exactly right.. they just didn't bring the packages for registered post lately, when I went to post office, the queue will be like 10-15 individuals.. and the people are pick-up office are impatience and grumpy..

I've found that the people who actually work for australia post are usually alright, it's the useless ****s they get on contract to do deliveries that is the problem.

agreed, they arent usually 2 bad (none of our locals could crack a smile mind u), but those delivery drivers.... OMG

I think back home I'm lucky with that. We have an awesome delivery guy who does it with his wife. They know us reasonably well and always leave our packages. If no one is home, they know to put it inside our locked side gate too. That way I never have to worry about the slips lol.
Don't you hate it whe they go bending your mailers! Why do they do it? It says do not bend on there. I'm sure they'd be pissed if there postie went bending their letters!

I have a small rant for Canada post while I'm here, got a couple things coming from the US and from the same state in Canada and they still have not arrived in over 2 weeks! What a crock!

i read that the wrong way lol....

My sister and her husband work for Australia Post but in the office admin area, my borther in-law was telling me that the Postal service throughout australia over the past 2 years has exploded largely due to ebay. The yrekon the number of parcels they deliver now is unbelievable to what it was a couple of years ago.

dirty man lol

Canadian post can take up to 4 weeks....their service is terrible...possibly the worst in the world.

Really? Never had a problem or an extended wait from Canada...Unless the seller was slack an posted it weeks late! haha

Now Global Priority from the US...try waiting 5 weeks for it to show, 3 times now. Registered is quicker! (and what I always request now)
