Just thinking so far a very lacklustre Summer from Pakistan, besides the Test in Sydney, where they pulled defeat from the jaws of victory.

Looking forward to the West Indies series though. No one smashes em like Gayle!!

In terms of AUssies, Watson HAS to be the standout, he's carved up every bowling attack and despite disappointment of about three 90s still managed a century, and picked up vital wickets. Hauritz was great, though I think the Pakis Batting was particularly average. Jury's still out on Hauritz I reckon.
Punter wouldn't be over the moon. Only the couble century in Hobart and 3 failures in the one dayers. I'm Cameron White's newest convert also.

Johnson isn't half the strike weapon people thought he was. He always plays his heart out though and his batting is valuable.

Also, there seems to be people who think Clarke is over-rated or full of himself or some crap. I've always thought he's an awesome player, very sound technique, nice to watch, and my age (28). He'd make a great captain.

Hussey is just hanging on though he's got another year guarenteed the way things are going.

I think Husseys a better player than to have people questioning his ability and putting a tag on how long he has left due to a form slump (even though i think his form has been around average)

Agree on the most part bombersfc, but would have to add that North's position couldn't be too solid considering his below par performance across all 6 tests...

Yeh I agree I think Hussey is still a great player that just hasn't reach his batting standards this summer. He is still better at batting than Clarke, Haddin, North, Johnson and all the tail enders. Hussey is clearly our best middle order batsman not counting No.3 as middle order

I never questioned his ability. But to go from an average of 80 to 51 in a few years means you're not setting the world on fire. Basically every commentator has been saying Hussey is the weakest link. He had a very ordinary Ashes. I rate M Clarke much higher as a batsman and Clarke is 6 years younger which is always a bonus!!

Yeah but no-one ever beside Bradman has averaged more than 70 infact the 2nd highest ever is just under 61! Like Lara averaged 53, Tendulkar averages 56! Hussey averages 53 which is the 10th highest in cricket ATM!
