Kryptyx is proud to bring to collectors around Bathurst ‘14, the 3rd instalment of the Holden Master Collection – a 4 Edition Collector Card set featuring the entire history of General Motors-Holden.
As the deadline looms dark over Holden’s Australian factory closures, the 3rd Edition continues the exhaustive story of the cars, people, places and passion that formed an iconic part of Australia’s very soul for over 60 years.
Researched from within Holden’s own archives, the four editions of the Holden Master Collection will also complete the entire inventory of Australian made Holden cars as the largest and most comprehensive Holden Memorabilia Collection in existence.
Due to Bill Tuckey’s retirement, HMC 3rd and 4th Edition will feature commentary on all cards researched and written personally by Luke West, Editor of Australian Muscle Car.
Base Cards
Cards 221 to 330 continue the catalogue of every Holden model released. Sequential numbering follows on from the first 2 Editions to capture every single model variation, but the 3rd Edition base set also stands nicely on its own as an historical overview of each new model from 1948-2013. Base cards detail engine specifications, interesting features and important release history.
Factories & Tracks
New for the 3rd Edition, Factories and Tracks feature the evolution of Holden’s production presence in Australia from its beginnings as a Saddlery through to the last remaining assembly plant today. Design, Engine and Testing facilities are also featured with rare behind-the-scenes archive shots.
Signature Cards
The 3rd Edition Signature set completes the remaining household names of the pre-V8 Supercar era, who left their mark in Australian
motorsport with Holden. 200 numbered examples will be released each for: Bob Jane, Captain Peter Janson, Bob Morris and Allan Grice.
Case Cards
The Case Cards for this series feature the 4 Holden Heritage logos representing the major logo redesigns from 1928 to the last iteration in 1994. Logos are represented in Hot Stamped Gold Foil.
The Icons
What can we say? There are some Holden vehicles that have burnt a permanent impression on the psyche of Australia, from the absolute collectible classics, to the workhorses still doing their job today. With this new subset for the 3rd Edition, we celebrate 10 of the Iconic best.
Holden Concepts
Holden has a very strong R+D history from the 48-215 development post-WW2 and still today. Holden Concepts are new to the 3rd Edition, and features 10 of the best concept vehicles that didn’t make it into production, but would certainly be incredibly sought after today if they had.
Tribute Card – Harry Firth
Available exclusively with the Red GT Album, the Harry Firth Tribute card celebrates the very first Bathurst Enduro winner and the original architect of the Holden Dealer Team – Harry Firth. 2000 released only.
