Bump for the price drop - now $100AUD dlvd.

ScottE - I will eventually mate :) I have the one #9/25 but I will get it off you at some stage!

When I can sell some more cards - got a heap i'm listing tonight hopefully :D Realistically it's probably going to be after Xmas (early Jan):thumbsup:

Yeah i've heard that too. Its a tough decision, Do I lock in todays prices. Or do I risk waiting and there being a price drop (which technology does) but a price rise from the $$ difference ?

Anyways - maybe we should start a new thread discussing technology instead of clogging up this guys Kobe Bryant thread ;)

Saw some article claiming that electronics prices were going to be going up in the new year.....not sure if it is true, but it suggested 15-30% increases in RRP for stuff like Sony LCD's, laptops etc. So don't leave it too late (I reckon the sweet spot will be the week after Xmas!).

Victorians face the steepest electronics prices in 25 years | Herald Sun

Sorry Graham for hi-jacking your thread

A little funny reading that article. It is as though Victoria is seperate from the rest of Australia.

Prices will go up, but there is a similar pull to lowering of prices. But I suppose the article is saying RRP, and what will happen is a lot of places will give discounts, including manufacturer's dicsounts and cash back offers.

Stock currently held by retailers will not have their prices increased. It is when they get their new stock in, which they may pay higher prices for, that the prices will increase.

Maybe the downturn will help soften the impact of price rises by softening prices due to less demand, though the Government had out will again stimulate prices.

Yeah, what i've been thinking is that some manufacturers will put up their prices, but I don't think you will see much of a difference on the ticketed prices, it will just be a difference on the amount of discount given. Some manufacturers like Sony already have premium prices and will find it hard to move any product if their ticketed prices go up any further (making the difference between the Sony and say Samsung more than it is now).

Despite them announcing last week that they plan to increase prices in Feb for TV's they dropped the RRP of their new XBR45 range by $1000 on some models.

Oh, and did I mention despite you bastards hijacking my thread, the Kobe is now sold !!! ;):D
