Here we go. The STAR cards. They had a topic about this on beckett. Let me see if I can remember it. Correct me anybody if I am wrong.
Back when they released the product it was really popular and what not and prices went through the roof, as is noted on beckett right now. So a few years later the company went back and produced even more of the same cards trying to pass them off as the originals. The big problem to collectors is that STAR used the same everything (pressplates, ink, etc) to make those reprint cards. Needless to say, now nobody can tell the originals from the reprints.

Thats interesting! Yeah Hill I think Topps did a reprint in the mid 90's with a chrome like appearance so don't think it is that one.
It has to be a reprint, but they must go for a fair bit as well! I need one for my collection, but don't want to bid with stupid ebayers.

This is not the real star XRC. Just the topps reprint. Star is one of the most miss understood companies of all time. Some sets had fakes, some had reprints etc.

This confirms that Becky52 guy has no brains. Like Ive said before he pays a shitload for really common stuff and in bad condition too. Its been said he would be a great member here but what knowlege would these bidders bring to the board?? Especially with bids of $110 for a topps reprint! How could someone that collects cards so much be so ignorant??? :shock:
