It was 20 years ago today, Mark Coyne taught the Blues how to play:
I was in Year 12, at Boarding School when this was played. And cause it happened in the dying seconds, there was pandemonium after the final whistle. Dead set…a riot as 40-50 testosterone fuelled 17-18 year old lost the plot.
LOL! As a Blue I absolutely hated it at the time. Was completely deflated…gutted…distraught! Now…I can't believe it's TWENTY YEARS AGO! And two, it's a bloody brilliant try! Back when SoO actually meant something and you hated Queensland with a passion (remember, the Broncos had only joined the week in week out comp in 1988, so we were still getting used to seeing Qlders week in, week out. These days, they're on TV every Friday night!).
Ah…I feel old now.
