I reached out to UD on twitter before Easter so was a rush. Think I exchanged 70 odd emails back and forth with Chris Carlin in terms of the process, what they need, what backgrounds were available etc. Got lucky that they had the background (company that does it is a contractor for UD so was a bit of fun). Chris had them sent to his hotel and I picked them up the night before the proposal lol. I believe you can get them done through Topps as well. UD did it for free pretty much, just wanted to be able to blog about it. Beckett did a thing as well about me travelling over from Australia to the event which was cool. Got to meet a lot of the people who work for the companies and the big distributors.
I may have to put a thread together with pics and hits etc. The convention was overwhelming in terms of cards. Endless $1-$5 boxes to dig through, and crazy memorabilia everywhere
Yeah. Beckett had just hired him to their media side of things. Beckett Radio is a podcast that comes out fortnightly that is worth listening to as well. All talk about the hobby and such.
