Hi guys,

I'm just at work at the moment and I found a spare 2 minutes.

Please confirm or assure me that this card is legit before it ends in a few hours time because I placed a bid on it last night but today, I'm feeling a little bit wary on the item, so I thought I'd ask for support! :D

I should've e-mailed Topps about this but working 7 days a week kind of takes a chunk of your quality time out of your life.

Cheers guys!

I think it is legit
The card is a 2005-06 Topps Big Game Relics Autographs - Allen Iverson/129
It has a high value of $250.00 in becketts.

Nice patch

^ Thanks and I appreciate your answer mate.

I wasn't sure whether that set of Topps Big Game Collection came with a patch because all the ones I've seen was just with plain jerseys.

post it on the beckett forums and get them to critique it..

personally i dont think its real..
because i have never seen any patch in the topps big game jersey/autos before..

its also perfectly centered, which is also a worry, because topps and UD really dont give a crap about that..

ther doesnt appear to be any chipping, which is a good sign..

but yeh,
personally i wouldnt get it,
but thats just cause i dont like to take risks..

good luck

Hi mate,

Thanks for your reply.

Any chance if you can post this @ Beckett's forum at your convenience of course but before the auction ends, because I'm at work at the moment, so I'm in and out of this computer.

I think it's real.

Why would someone deface an Iverson Auto card that sells close to $180US as is....

Also, isnt the patch the bit under the neck-v on the jersey??

It's not part of the logo anywhere...... :?

LOL! Thanks Mavs. So many varied opinions and I expect that!

Anyway, you lose some, you win some. If it's fake, I'm sure I can get my money back by PayPal.

Guys, scratch what I said and try not to post this @ Becketts, just in case it brings their attention to bid for more.

i wouldnt be surprised if topps made their AI cards a little extra special, seeing as they got him in this year etc...nice card mate!

^ Let's hope so Trey.

I'm still considering an e-mail to Topps Products and asks for it's legitimacy because paying $325 for an after-market card is ridicoulous and if I can get an answer before making my payment, it would make things alot easier, less drama.

Or now that I've won the card, I might post it at Beckett and asks around.

Does anyone know the e-mail for Topps? I might do a googlie after this post and dinner.

Yeah ask for confirmation Hendra. Send them a pic. But you're right, if you pay via paypal, you're pretty safe. :)

That's an excellent AI auto.. your first one right?

Oh well...

I posted this enquiry @ Beckett's forum.

90% of the members who replied says it's fake because the patch was too centered and this set was supposed to be jerseys only etc.

Looks like I will have to contact Topps Product customer service by a phone call. Let's hope I can get the timezone right and better yet, let's hope this card is authentic!

I really hope Topps know but the old saying 'if its too good to be true then its normally not true' is a perfect phrase for card collecting.

When you get it inspect it really carefully for damage and if you see any hint do a chargeback I say.

 great looking card.... almost too good... :?

I guess the only hope would be finding out the serial # and then contacting Topps in hope they keep a datbase on their recent issues...

Fingers crossed and best of luck.
