IPL 2011 Auctions

must be something going on at Deccan, both Symonds and Gilly have left. It would of been very interesting to see who got the keeping place at Deccan if Gilly was still there, especially with Sangakarra in the mix..

ooo i hope tom beaton gets bought.... he came played for my club last year and he's a really nice guy

Some surprises here. Maybe there is a second round.

Unsold: Graeme Manou, Brian Lara, Herschelle Gibbs, Jesse Ryder, Sourav Ganguly and Chris Gayle.

I hope not. Hughes needs to put on some serious work on his test batting. He needs either a season in county cricket or some more time at the academy. I reckon he'd be on his last chance.

yeah spot on. The IPL would be useless for Hughes' development and could dig further holes for him.. back to shield cricket for now and when that season is over England is the perfect place to continue on.

One reason didn't sell because of English county cricket committments.See article below.

That's what I originally thought then Broad, Pietersen, Morgan and Collingwood (although less of a concern due to his Test retirement) all sold. Although article makes a fair point RE off-spinners it doesn't really explain why a good quick like Anderson (who is an insanely good fielder for a big guy as well) didn't get picked.
