I'd like to get some opinions on the Panini set with the most informative card backs. I'd like to put a set together this year and have always liked sets with good information; a combination of stats and a blurb about the player.
Here are some older card examples that I found on the net that I think are good.
Studio has some useful information, a full summary of the last four seasons and some wordage on an interesting recent statistic or high scoring game. I prefer card backs with a whole career history of stats.

That's an interesting way to start a new collecting challenge, although newer cards have definitely not had the focus of great detail like their predecessors in the early 90's. I always like the RC college and high-school stats. Topps have nice cartoon images, especially from the 70's and bazooka series.
