Im new to the game of collecting. i joined to ask questions and find answers.

this may be the stupidest question anyone has ever heard but what is a "sketch" card? alot of sets ive seen say, no sketch cards. and the prices decrease by more than 50% due to missing this "sketch". Can someone please tell me what value these cards hold? if i buy a box of unopened cards but the "Sketch" has been removed, is it useless?

i have many sets of cards at home, is there any sites or people that show value or cards or even what cards to look out for when it comes to value and future values?

wow that sounds amazing.. well im trying to find out and thanks heaps. also you know about NBA... it seems there the cards to collect on this site lol everyones on them, if you bought packs week in week out, how long would it take to retrieve the full set of NBA cards for that given year? or is that an impossible question to ask? lol it seems ot me that, AFL, NBA, Baseball etc are so so so so hard to collect a full set because there is so many different cards. what is the value of the cards without a full set?
