A quirky card collector tale

After buying craploads of Champions packets this year I had never found anyone by the name Of Matthew Bate. In the last week or so, I've bought a few packets and pulled the Bate GFS, and now today what do ya know the Bate Die Cut and Bate common! I've hardly seen this red-knob kick a ball let alone a goal and now have his Select card in 3 forms! There you go.

btw, where are all the Demon fans? Not much of a presence on OCT these days.:lol::lol:
 
Bate's a pretty good player for the Dee's,

Geez I was in a sarcastic mood today. Maybe I was a bit harsh on Bate, but I really don't follow the Demons much, plus they are not on telly much. Well I DID go to Essendon V Melbourne at Docklands and we won by 47 points. I was impressed with Jurrah that night and thats about it.

As for your comment about attacking clubs, I guess its mainly because Finally as a Bomber supporter I can have hope for this season. We were going downhill FAST man.
Also my father brought me up with a healthy dislike of Collingwood, Carlton, and to a lesser extent Melbourne.

NB- also its a play on words; meant to be funny
 
Although i am a passionate pies supporter (as you can tell) i like all good players in our great game my biggest hate is the negative players that play an entire role to stop good players i am aware our game is about tactics stop the good players and win the game but id much prefer 2 good players play off against each other and have the better man win. I also dislike Essendon, Carlton and Brisbane but i respect some of the players that actually play for those clubs. Ryder has been a star for you guys this year it would be great to see davey step up to his brothers standard and play a similar role. I also think Hurley is going to be a gun for you guys.

yeah bate has been around for a while now and the dees are on TV more often than not. and i why would you want to dislike that many clubs? maybe one or two because they are your main rivals but i see not point in it. also it is pretty weak to pick on the bottom side. i9 should know, im more than used to it. i cop it every monday at school! just try to be nice, we are just supporting our teams.

Yeah fair enough I don't dislike PEOPLE, I was more just mucking around...but its just something about that Collingwood guernsey...makes me want to tackle someone :) Anyway, I guess for the Pies Swan is an outrageous player probably be top 5 Brownlow, Cloke has obviously stepped up lately. With Anthony they seem to have permanently replaced Rocca? Down back you can't go past Presty But I'd prefer Fletch ;)
 
I strongly dislike collingwood.
Every supporter I hear from has got a lame excuse for every loss they have.
"Oh...we had Josh Fraser out so we had Cam Wood your ex- reject"
Josh Fraser can't win a ruck contest..
Can't take loosing 2 premierships .
 
jacko you need to stop living in the past your last premiership was 6 years ago. when was the last time you beat us recently??? I am not making any excuses for our losses either if we lose a game its because we where not good enough to beat our opposition..
 
by the way how did a thread about Matthew Bate cards turn into defending the Magpies merits! Get stuffed I would've given Didak two weeks just on principle ...and while I'm at it tell the two Danes they have to cover their ludicrous tattoos or get fined!! If long sleeves are good enough for Jimmy Hird they're good enough for Swan!

mate, what are you, the manners police? Its havin a friendly dig at each other's teams, a VFL/AFL tradition! But seriously, I saw Melbourne live this year and there is some major flaws in that team's structure, team-work and skills.

And really which team would be the BIGGEST surprise packet in terms of performances?? Which famous club were 90 % of 'experts' predicting 10-12 at Best? Whose team would have the more innovative and adventurous coaching? And lastly which team has explosive pace as well as proven class at the stoppages?

lol mate back to your best today some of the essendon players should cover there heads with long sleeves cause it looks like they have been smashed with shovels. Didak you can all bag him but you know if your team could they would give up there first pick to get him.
Essendon may be in 8th spot but not impressive at all and could still drop out yet there for not that impressive!!!
