I recently sold some cards on ebay to someone in Venezuela. The parcel has gone missing.
I clearly state in my sale that I offer registered at one price and a standard price, if the standard price is picked the seller takes no responsibility for lost mail.
He hasnt yet asked for a refund, but when and if that happens I will feel bad.
Should I refund? The guy should have paid the premium in the first place?
The other thing is I dont want a neg, but I have over 200+ so 1 neg will hardly even show.
If he claims through paypal you won't have a choice Darren... the will refund him if it wasn't sent registered! Doesn't matter what you state in the auction. They put ALL the blame on the seller for not sending registered if something goes missing and refund the buyer.....! It blows hard!

No worries man. It sucks badly, but thats paypal/ebay for you! Their way or the highway! I refuse to send anything over $30 O/S without registering it now!
If he opens a dispute that he never received you have no choice, he may even have the parcel but will scam you anyway... Make registered mandatory in future, only way to protect yourself
I personally try to offer shipping in Australia only just cause I find there's too many issues with international mail. I know that's hypocritial cause I buy internationally all the time but I just find too many people get burnt this way.
Anyways I hope the package turns up as sometimes it can take a couple of months. If you do decide to refund the guy, if the package does eventually turn up hopefully he'll be honest enough to send the funds through again!
Same as what im going through now.
I went to the trouble of typing out a detail response to ebay.
How the hell can us sellers with a proven record be held responsible if they dont choose registered..
They didnt give a rats arse....and sided with the buyer anyway
