Anyone out there able to help me go back in time to the 90s, when the big wave of Marilyn trading cards rolled in, and fill in the blanks about the sets that were released? It was so long ago that it is tricky to figure out exactly how many sets there are out there to track down! I need me a guru! :p

Jeff Allender's checklist site (at http://nslists.com/jaall.htm) has these listed:

Jeff's site is very comprehensive and it's unlikely that there are any other sets. The last two listed are the Breygent sets from only a few years ago, but the others are the 90s ones you are looking for. If you are interested in the recent sets, there were a few cards released that are not in the checklist - in particular, printing plates were included in Breygent mystery packs. There will also be some relevant cards in the various 'Americana' type sets.

Thank you for the advice! I checked out Jeff's site, and did learn some new things about the sets he has listed there, but I know that there are at least two other sets that Private released that he hasn't got any checklists for.

Also looking for anyone who can tell me which Marilyn sets had matching albums... I only know of the Shaw Family one so far.

Thank you, I did notice that, but I'm just not sure if he has included that information on all of lists because a trading card dealer that I visit mentioned in passing that there is an album for the Sport Time Series 1 cards (but I have not yet seen it with my own eyes - nor any pictures of it online) and Jeff hasn't mentioned it on his list... not sure about that one!

Vicki,
here are some photos of marilyn cards and the album

Thanks Steve! I can hardly wait to get my hands on those diamond and ruby cards!! One day....
The album looks like it belongs with the Private cards, is that right? Does it have anything written on it apart from Marilyn Collector Cards - like on the back or inside the cover? I'm gonna have a hard time hunting one down by the looks of it.
So if the card dealer was right, and there is an album for the Sport Time (S1) cards, with this one, makes two. I wonder if both Private and Sport Time only put out one album each - or if they released one for each set. I hope someone who knows sees this post!
