Ahh this sucks, the place I work at lost its government contract, so we all get the boot come June 30. We then get moved to where my company sees fit...or not at all...while management give us the lip service that we'll all be fine, I aint buying it...like I should be fine, ive got a uni degree and management experience, but some of my fellow workers have sorta just been in the same job for 5-6 years...

so if anyone knows anywhere that needs a team leader/management type that deals with the scum of the earth, Im your man....

awww!! tough man, extremely sorry to hear about it! One of the big negative's of life.. Oh do i look forward to the day when i have to get a job..

tough luck at least they gave u a time when they were gonna let u go. which gives u enough time to find a job.

I know what that feels like. The organisation I worked for last year relied on a sizable donation which ceased in the middle of last year, and thankfully they had resources to keep both employees until the end of the year. Could've forced them to keep me on to 30th June, but what's the point if theres no money.

oddly enough my job is essentially finding work for long term unemployed...so I should know what Im doing eh!

oh! your an expert trey, you should know exactly what to do then!

You've obviously helped so many unemployed people get jobs, should be a piece of cake for you... or have you??!!!

hehe well the people before me didnt...but I have...been setting company records since november...but it was too little too late :(

hahaha that's really cool though man, setting company records. When i get a job i'll be happy just to stay employed.. heyyy.. wait a minute..!

that suxs! all i can recommend is hitting up professional recruitment agencies to hook you up with a job (cost you nothing - i.e. davidson recruitment) as about 90% of the newbies we hire are through agencies.

good luck!

well everything worked out guys!
had an interview this week, going to be working at a new office for my current employer, same distance travel wise (will cost me about $9 more a week but ahh well) but I'll be paid the same, dont have to supervise anyone, and have about 1/3 of the amount of clients to look after! I'll have so much time I wont know what to do with myself!
