I've been on these boards for a while but haven't formally introduced myself to all you fellow mad collectors, hence my humble apologies.
I'm Angelo, Victorian and have been collecting since the mid sixties. I really wouldn't call it collecting when I first started. I'd buy Scanlens Footy packs with my lunch money and chew the gum (it just tasted so much better than any other gum) and I'd discard the cards, what an idiot!!! Luckily my dear old mum kept them and I still have full sets of Scanlens dating back to 1965. Mums are the best people in the world!!!!
My real passion for card collecting really started in about 1992, the year of the SHAQ. I collected for a few years then got a little sidetracked (wife and kids.) and sold off most of my collection only keeping Shaq rookies and my favourite set: 1994 Topps Finest.
Then along came Lebron (the kids are grown) and I've been collecting Lebron rookies ever since. If you have any high end Lebron rookies I'm always looking and since the mortgage is paid off I'm ready to re-mortgage again, lol.
