Hughes on song!!!

He certainly looks a lot more settled and composed at the crease. Not sure how much to read into it though, as Hilfenhaus has performed really well in this game too, and he had a god-awful Ashes series.

Hopefully it will serve him well for the future, batting the way he has recently. Most people (including me) thought that Matt Hayden would never make it, but 8625 Test runs @ 50.73 say otherwise

Poor effort by tassie I think, they were playing for the draw while NSW were trying to get a result. I would hate to win like that.

Too little to Late i say.

Really, you think so, you have got no idea. He is 22 and one of the best batsmen in the country. In the ashes this year it was very hard to get runs, not only was Jimmy bowling a treat but he was then backed up by a giant. They both moved the ball in the air and it was hard going. The only standouts were hussey and haddin. Both these guys bat down the order when the ball does not move very much.

Too think that Hughes has done too little too late is a complete joke.

He made it hard for himself to make runs, like a lot of the Aussie batsmen this past summer! He does not have the HEAD to play Test cricket right now, maybe another good steady summer in Sheild will help him, but what choice do Australia really have? Not like the Aussie selectors would actually try and unearth another opener, they'll just put Hughes under more and more pressure and crack him and probably wreck his international career by not letting him develop, rather pushing him/ making him develop quicker then he can!

not a poor effort by tassie at all mate, we won first innings points so thats a good effort i think. how many test players do you guys have in your team? that smart a*se warner can get back in his box. i think its a magnificent effort by tassie against NSW considering your top 5 batsman are hughes, warner, jaques, katich and Khawaja, all played for Australia at times, and if all we need is a draw to win the game then thats what we'll do. not so much playing for a draw as such, but with so many runs scored in the first innings a draw seems normal to me. the reason NSW are playing for a win is because thats their only choice mate, Tassie finished on top of the sheffield table so they deserve the privilege!
Tassie - a champion team, not a team of champions lol

I am just waiting on one or two massive hughes innings so I can flog my destiny print off and at least get my money back lol
