Evening all,
I've been lurking here for a few weeks but I'd thought I'd pony up and say hi.
I've been an NRL card collector since the early 90s and only recently stopped collecting with the 2010 series. Sad to say, but with the advent of ebay and professional signature hunters (ie getting sigs for on selling) the enjoyment has gone out of what used to be a fun pursuit (literally in some cases). That and now being a parent is a big drain on time and money.
I'm trying to talk my significant other into letting me go to the world cup at the end of this year, so I may be looking at flogging off some of my miscelleneous cards and sets to raise some funds, but again ebay has taken the fun out of getting rid of excess stuff with their exorbitant selling fees.
I'm sure I've seen most of you Brisbane/Gold Coast based collectors around. I'm the one that doesn't have any new cards to get signed.
