How to be a Big Shot

seems a little full of himself...

Huh? I didn't get that at all.

And if he was, he's got a right to be.

Great insight from big shot, interesting how he mentioned his whole career could have been different had he been traded.

Wow at the Phil Jackson bit. I'm not surprised though, I've always found Jackson largely overrated as a coach, even more so after reading his books.

i dunno. just the vibe i got...came across as tho he thinks hes one of the greatest ever. talking about how he sees the game different to everyone. bringing up his rings like he was integral to them. telling the hakeem story as tho its funny or clever.
not trying to take anything away from his achievements. he does have the right to be cocky. but its a trait i dont like...
mighta just been me reading it wrong i guess...

"But the fact of the matter is, I see the game differently than the average NBA fan. Truthfully, I see the game differently than most NBA coaches. But I have won seven NBA titles, so just hear me out for a second and you might actually learn something different than the cliches you hear on TV".

The teams he was on were all great teams, but to say he wasn't integral to them is flat out stupid. Guy hit some HUGE clutch shots when they were DOWN in games. These were game winners, not just some play that lead to something bigger. He hit the big shot.

The Hakeem story just seems personal to him and lead to his change of attitude of how he played the game, instead of deferring. That almost cost him being traded.

didnt mean to imply he didnt help. and obviously he hit 'big shots'. maybe integral was the wrong word...i dont know? its kinda like steve kerr being integral to the bulls. he was and he wasnt...is a 6th man ever integral?
or maybe my definition of integral is wrong?
again, i may have just taken it in the wrong context.

Ummm YES!!!!

A 6th man is integral.

Sorry but Horry was better than Kerr. Horry could start and did so many times in the Playoffs for the Rockets and Lakers, not as much with the Spurs. Kerr was never really a starter and was literally a spot up shooter and that's it.

Check out the Finals right now, who's been one of the MOST important players? A bench guy in Iguodala.

Integral = crucial IMO.

Horry was HUGE in the big moment, he misses those shots and his teams have less chips.
