Now I can rest and retire hahaha. Just so thankful to the Lord for the favor he gave and the opportunity to meet my favorite player at long last!

I don't have time to scan the cards but here it goes...

I know. Rookie mistake. Should have really used black ink. I don't know why I bought silver. lol (Anyway, this is my first ever attempt at anything remotely like this so I'm still very happy how it turned out.) I think he was only planning to sign one card for me when just after the first card was signed I said that I'm the best Clyde Drexler collector in the country to which he personally offered to sign one more. hehehe When I realized that the silver ink doesn't really look nice, I graciously asked Clyde to sign one more...

I chose the three cards for a simple reason. His Portland years, Olympic Dream Team stint and Houston journey. Yes the first card is a '86 RC card and the 2nd one is the NNO Dream Team card BV75 hahaha.

Anyway, this is the first encounter I had with Clyde referring to how the signing of these three cards went about. It was inside cinema 4 at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay city Philippines (He was suppose to rest for some time before the program starts in about an hour when I was given the go signal to go in and I was the first in line!) where I got these cards signed. Clyde was a bit surprised why I was already there ready with my pen and cards! lol

Obviously, the organizers politely asked me to leave and asked me to please wait for the program to start while Clyde was taking a brief respite. Earlier, he was in another segment called NBA Madness Team Spirit Festival. I went out with three cards signed and went back still the first in line.

By then, I was already feeling so good knowing that I got three cards signed but while inside he declined a photo shoot with me. So I was already thinking of my next move. Get a picture with him and asked him to sign a jersey I brought along. And after about an hour of waiting, Clyde came out of the cinema and did just that! By the way, the photo in my hand is also pre-hand-signed by Drexler given away by the organizers for the early birds!

And...there's more to come!

The meeting at the cinema was called the Interactive Viewing Party where the 1992 All-star game was being shown while Clyde Drexler was giving his personal comments and commentary almost play-by-play. It was just a great time for fans to interact with him me included of course. In between games there were prizes given to questions about Clyde that were answered! I won two prizes! The consolation prize was an NBA Madness umbrella and T-shirt and guess what? I won the grand prize where Clyde himself asked the question! The icing on the cake was a signed jersey from the man himself sponsored by the event organizers.

The second prize is a signed ball by Clyde won by the other guy I'm with in the picture.

Want to know the grand prize question that I was able to answer after about 4 failed attempts by other people?
QUESTION: Who are the three players in NBA history to have posted career totals of at least 20,000 points, 6,000 rebounds and 6,000 assists?
ANSWER: Clyde Drexler, John Havliceck and Oscar Robertson

I really had a great time. It was simply amazing! And you know what? I got two members from our beloved local forum (nbacardsph.com) who were there to witness it all!

That would have to be better than any card you could pick up for the PC. Great story and am sure it will be something you will remember for some time.

@skip20 - Yeah thanks man! I guess only a die-hard fan would know that! hehehe Those are amazing stats that only three players in NBA history has achieved! :-)
