Hey everyone

I came across some of my old Rugby League Cards. All of them signed as i used to chase after players autographs when i was younger and stop collecting after many years and now getting back into it again.

I came across a Arthur Beetson 1974/1975 card that i got signed when i saw him at a game. It's worth heaps to me but what kind of price would people be able to put on it. I'm not going to sell it as it's a roosters card and also worth alot in my PC.

Just asking as hubby reckons he may need to increase insurance after finding all my cards again.

Thanks

Forgot to mention it's in a screwdown holder and card it in great condition only one little corner creased other then that the card is perfect.

Recent cards get $3+ depending on player etc. A 74 Beetson card (flag in tri-colours at bottom) is worth easy $20+ without the signature. With the sig maybe $50. If a 75 card (oval shape at bottom in tri-colours) worth a bit less as 75's are easier to find. Either way a nice card for the PC

Personally signed cards vary.. And it's hard to know if they are authentic..

Although I would say that Mischa is probably pretty right about the pricing on that one..

Let me know if you have any TITANS...... Oh yeah.

But seriously, I would go a little higher on the 74 Artie. In the neighbourhood of about $60-$75 depending on the clarity of the signature and condition of the card
Cheers

Sorry guys i are'nt parting ways with this card as it's something special to get him to sign the card and to meet such a legend of the game. Very lucky he did it.

I have all sorts of cards signed by players from all different teams but i will only swap or sell my double ups if i got any done this season.

Thanks

Let me know if you have any DRAGONS ones you want to sell
Cheers

Worth depends on the collector, to me my collection of IP signed Broncos cards from 2000 - 2009 is priceless, to a Dragons fan, they would not be worth the paper they are written on.

I personally think a signature is only worth something to the person who received it, unless it is an official signature card. I have a number of signed items which are worth more to me then someone else because I was there when it was signed.

There are so many what appear to be fake signatures on ebay its not funny.

It is hard to put a dollar value on a signature if its not official. I guess you cant replace your arthur beetson one so insuring it for a dollar amount what is that going to do? You cannot replace it.

There is a lot of wisdom in what Dan and Dave are saying here,i feel the same way about it,i love my Bulldogs signatures, and i would only get them my self or get them from a person i really trust, like the other day Mischa offered to give me an Ennis sig.when it comes to other teams the only players i would bother with signatures are players i admire like langer ,Lewis,Fitler and so on.
Cheers
Peter.

I have a 1995 signed Craig Field. Someone said they'd take it if I paid them $20.

I said I'd keep it for something special, so if you'd like to trade, PM me.
