how long to wait for payment from ebay

just wondering what a reasonable amount of time to wait for payment from a buyer on ebay is .
I sold a card on the US site and its only been a few days but i was looking at the buyers feedback and he has a lot of no payment or contact feedback.
but also has fast payment great ebayer.

I usually give 10 days to pay. I send a reminder after 7.

I remind after a few days unless the buyer has made contact with me. And if no contact is made I will open a dispute in 7-10 days

what happens to the fees do you have to pay them?

Not if you file a dispute and it falls in your favor. Which it will if they have not paid or communicated with you
