How do i retract a bid on ebay?

i bid on a card without reading how he shipped first, he is charging $7 for surface mail, i emailed him asking to cancel my bid and explaining why (hoping hed drop his shipping charges) and he replied saying he couldnt cancel my bid, i would need to retract it...

how do i do it??

Hi mate,
Being an ex ebay buff, haha, i know how to go about this. Go to the auction, click on the bids history, then click on the how to retract a bid and follow the instructions and form. If its in the last 12 hours of the auction you can't retract. Kapiche?

Yeh i know Richo, buts its ok i cancelled it (saying i entered wrong amount), then re-entered a bid with an amount i knew i'd be outbid on

Nah it's cool, they didnt want to cancel your bid, as it'd look like they had something to hide, or something. If you cancel your own bid, doesnt give them a bad naming.
