The son of a 3rd generation Fitzroy supporter and a one-eyed Hawks fan, my upbringing involved quite a great deal of football and a cheering for 2 teams (until a head to head, which was quite confusing). I ended up following in my father's footsteps and followed the Lions until their final game, and then followed the symbol of the club to Brisbane.
Not a collector or trader of cards myself, though I have helped my father (forum user: Scanlens Collector) over the years with his eBay store and seen his personal collection grow astronomically (no need for me to double up

I love the game and in helping him get set up and started, I began to really become interested in the history of the game and the players involved. I watched Dad's personal collection and online store grow and have been impressed to see a guy that still has trouble working out how to cut and paste, run a successful online business.
Looking at forums like this one and seeing the passion for the history of the game inspired me to start a blog writing about the players. Looking forward to get more inspiration from you all as I make my way through this awesome forum and work out which player is going to be the next one I do a bio on.
