So after deciding to go with the NRL and stay away from the AFL this season, I started to regret it a bit after hearing all of the positivity around the AFL and the negativity around the NRL series. So I bit the bullet and bought a box of Honours 2 to see what all the fuss was about.

Firstly my impressions - the AFL base set I dont like. The font they have used for the names on back and front is almost unreadable and doesn't look fancy, just looks poor. Then I got my first hit, one of the Brownlow Gallery. They look ok, I love the embossing, thats a really nice touch. The All Australians were an interesting choice, dont see why they went with the super thick cards, think they would have been better to use on the higher end inserts or all of the inserts. Love the design of the AAs tho, then the browlow sketch cards, fantastic really really nice finish and excellent to hold in hand. I like the brownlow distinctions and the certified signatures, to be honest apart from the base set, I love the rest of the cards, which makes me wish I had of decided to go with both AFL and NRL, I may end up buying a case of the AFL now that I have seen them.

Select have really done an excellent job with this set and despite my concerns, which was mainly around the repetitive subsets, there seems to be a large enough player base that it doesn't matter.

Anyway on with the break results!!

As a side note, do select still keep the #1 cards, so the #002 card is actually the lowest card number available? And if so what is the general consensus on increase in value for something like that?

Photos below and all cards are available for sale, I will have them updated in my main AFL sale thread in the next hour
