When the Stanley Cup Champions Los Angles King selected Mr. Irrelevant, Nick Ebert, with the last pick, the 2012 NHL Draft officially came to an end. NHL fans emptied the Consol Energy Center in anticipation of the 2012-13 season.
Company officials were on-hand the entire weekend gathering content from several NHL prospects, including No. 1 overall pick Nail Yakupov as well as Ryan Murray, Alex Galchenyuk and Griffin Reihnart.
For those that couldn’t make it, Panini made the Pittsburgh Penguins draft set available to anyone spending $25 or more on NHL products at iCollectPanini.com. Included in that were exclusive cards honoring former draft headliners Mario Lemieux, Steven Stamkos and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
Panini also teamed up with local hobby shops in the Pittsburgh area to distribute three limited-edition draft day cards. Cards of Jaromir Jagr, Marc-Andre Fleury and Taylor Hall were sent during the week to hobby shops in the Pittsburgh area.
Make sure to check with your local hobby shop for details.
