I have been a member for a liitle while but never really had time to have a good look around (bad I know). Well I have been collecting cards since I was about 6 yrs old, I had about 500+ scanlen footy cards from the 70's and 80's until mum decided to throw them out because they were messy.
Anyway, since I have been old enough to earn my own money i have been collecting cards and memorabilia.
I have a pretty sizeable collection of cards ranging from 1981 scanlens through to the 08/09 select series. I only collect cricket as i am most passionate about it. Some of my prized items in my collections are: Heritage knights of cricket, Warne 99 world cup signed top, brothers in arms print, sir garfield sobers frame by frame, Mark waugh match used pad, and so on.
To complete most of my sets I need signature cards, the rarest and most expense to collect. But collecting for me is about achieving sets over a period of time, enjoying the thrill of the chase.
Please feel free to ask me any questions, provide any commentary.... I simply love cricket (world cricket).
