I used to collect Fleer NBA cards back in the early 90's. Now my kids are collecting AFL Select and Team Coach 2009, and one of them picked up a Gary Ablett Superstar Gem today, inspiring me to see whether it's rare. I stumbled across the forum and thought I'd join out of interest.

hi mate. theres one super star gem every 36 packs (1 box.) or 1 gary abblett gem every 576 packs. so fairly rare yes

Early-mid 90's I redeemed a Fleer Ultra NBA card for the first round lottery picks or something. Does that ring any bells for anyone? They're still in Perth, but thinking about bringing all that gear back to Melbourne after my next trip.
