Hi guys, my name is Peter, I've just started to get back into basketball card trading since primary school. I was browsing through the beckett forums when i stumbled onto this website.

So a bit about myself..I'm 20, from Sydney and i'm a Orlando Magic fan of late, I like Dwight Howard and am starting to look to collect his cards. As i've said before, card collecting is all new to me so any advice will be much appreciate it. Thanks

haha thanks, it's always nice to know that there are still bball collectors close to home! Are there any major retailers that sell bball cards or do u purchase from ebay an overseas?

Welcome mate. I'm sure you get back into the collecting swing quickly with so much available now.

Take a look at the FAQ forum and have a read of some of the how to's etc. They will help you get up to speed a little on ebay, paypal and collecting a bit.

Hope you enjoy your time here like i'm sure you will.

haha i would scan my collection, but atm it's got nothing in it, cept a chris duhon signature card from last yrs topps! you have an awesome collection there tho, hope mine will be half as good within a few yrs haha!

hey pete, welcome mate. dwights a good if slightly expensive choice, as hes still a bit underrated but will be a monster in years to come. noobs are always welcome, we were all one once

its a decent price, you could find it for cheaper though with a bit of searching, if you cant be buggered though its not a rip off by any means.

I keep bidding on non-Paypal auctions without noticing #-o

if you dont like the bidding process, then that is a decent price for it!

thats at a great price with not long to go, keep an eye on that one and put in a snipe. it books for $50US.

oh btw, there is a specific thread for asking becket prices.

Welcome to the boards mate... beware this could be the start of a very addictive hobby !!!
AND LOVING IT !!!
Try and grab hold of a fairly new beckett basketball magazine...
Its a monthly publication card prices,pics ,news...a great way to start off.
Try newsagents,local card shops,ebay australia under sports memorabilia,baskettball....there are a few new ones there i know..
