I was contacted by my parents 4 weeks ago, saying that they are about to move house and have found my old card collections and if they just want them thrown out. Of course I said NOPE.
I've got them now, and will be looking at selling them all together or separately.
The problem is, as I'm going through them, I'm having problems trying to sort them out by year / sport / type of collection / series / and card range. eg:
1995/96 NBA – Upper Deck Collectors Choice – 1 to 200
I have complete and incomplete sets from 1992-95 of NBA, NFL, Football/Soccer, ARL/NRL. (I didn't realise that Upper Deck had so many variations of card collections eg, collectors choice, SE, normal)
I'll be selling all the cards I have, but i was hoping someone could help me out with trying to label these decks, or provide some advice on trying to decipher the year and collections they fall into.
Thanks every one, hoping to keep in touch with what I've found.
Welcome mate. Just dont expect to get much for them. That was a very overproduced era. No GU or autos or # cards either. You can get sealed boxes for almost nothing.
If you want quick sale then just break them into lots of 100 (or whatever) and sell on ebay or here.
If your trying to maximise return then break it into smaller lots. Probably player lots. 10 Jordan cards. 5 Kemp cards, etc.
Also very helpful if you want to see if anything is of value is beckett.com
Get a monthly subscription online for basketball for about $9 and you can look up unlimited cards, by player, card number, set name etc etc.
Much cheaper and faster than the magazine print format which is about $20 these days.
