Hi all - another cricket collector here...

Hi guys,

Looks like a very good site you have going here.

I am an avid collector of Hawthorn and cricket memorabilia but when it comes to trading cards i only collect cricket - namely cigarette cards, Scanlens (stickers and cards) and Futera cricket. Given the time, effort (and of course money!) that has gone into my collection so far I have decided not to bother with any of the Select or Topps cricket sets.

I am 4 insert cards away from a complete Futera cricket run (1993-1997) - if anyone has one of the 50 1993/94 Allan Border gold seal autos for sale or a RED cash card from the Decider series please let me know!! I have a good amount of sample inserts and 4-ups but always on the lookout for more.

My Scanlens collection has only 2 more requirements - i need 23 1967 Krazy Kricket cards to finish off the set, and i'm also in need of a full 1965 set.

Hopefully some of you can help me out!!

Im pleased to have master sets myself for pretty much all the releases. Been chasing a few replacement cards over time after i had a stack stolen. Ive been wanting to start another round of master sets, might do it when i slow down on the b'ball.

WELCOME!!! Always glad to have more cricket collectors mate. If you are intending on venturing into Select, best to hold off til about april, prices will drop dramaticly! Topps are fairly cheap, infact very cheap!

I collect a few cigarette sets to. Trying to complete all John Player sets from the 1920s - 30s.

Hope we can do some deals mate.

Good luck with the John Player sets - i picked up the 1930/34/38 sets pretty cheaply on ebay recently. It still amazes me how many of these full sets are around near on 80 years later!!

Are you saying Select will be cheaper in April because it will be the end of cricket season? I had a full set of 98/99 Select cricket with all Ashes Heroes sigs and the 2 other sigs (M Waugh and McGrath) all with the same number as i redeemed them in the one hit. Unfortunately i sold the full 98/99 set (including gold parallels and all) about 8 years ago - i have regretted it ever since and can't bring myself to go and buy them all again!!

I really like how Futera, for all their problems, individually numbered all of their insert cards - something Select should seriously look at doing. I know they number the signature redemptions but it adds something to be able to see your individual number on the back - even if it is 1 of 7000!!

I'm With Wayne and Tim Welcome mate, i just got back from 7 years in the UK and sold all my inserts when i got back. still have a bradman legend card and am looking for all the 1993 futera inserts to match. Have heaps of 2003 ikon and am two cards off a complete 'signed' set.

Thanks Mambo - your username looked familiar, i have dealt with you on ebay - bought something from you in Sept last year but as it is over 90 days old i'm not sure what it was! My ebay username is bjs127 also.

I'm still tempted to pick up the sigs from the Topps series - i saw in another thread the Ponting 2002 Topps sig and it looks awesome - one of the best i've seen.
