Yeah it was awesome mate, still recovering from Arak and Bintang!
Did some touristy stuff like Jet skiing, white water rafting, parasailing, snorkelling etc.
Not much shopping just DVD's, PS2 games and some clothes.
Mainly chilling out at a cafe drinking then heading out till about 4am, then back to the pool bar for quite last drink!
Made heaps of new friends from all over the place, Aus, Indo, UK, Sweden, South Africa, and not just acqaintences, people I will def ve catching up with in the future!
Thanks for asking mate, just been randomly posting little bits here and there.
Still waiting on word about insurance, but apparently Garuda aren't gonna do anything, so we'll see...
First up, the grandstand we built in front of the duty free plasma due to excessive hours in the airport, i'll miss that place...NOT!
Most of the people we met just before...
...the suckling pig!
Jager without red bull, Mirinda is a healthy substitute though!
Couple of the poms, cool chicks, there was another that I really got along with but she was quite the looker so she had a lot male attention! Got them all coming to Perth next year!
Our hotel neighbours:
And finally, stickers we made and plastered them all over Bali, there will be t-shirts there next time anyone goes! Thanks to the Ronnie Johns half hour!
Great stuff Jase, I was there in 2001 and had a great time.
Those Bintang's were great in the swim up pool bar and the nightlife was sensational. Such a shame that the nightclubs we frequented are now no longer there.
Glad to hear (and see) you had a great time jase, seeing those pics makes me want to save up some cash and get the hell out of boring old adelaide, if only for a few weeks.
I had a friend who plastered stickers with his book title around the suburb I lived. Some of them are still around, some 10yrs later. I can imagine those stickers still being around and causing people to pay attention.
We had a competition on the last night to see who could put the sticker in the best place! We put at least one in every pub we went too and almost got security to let us put one on the boom gates of our hotel, they declined at the last minute! The disco ball was a combined effort lifting one of our own high enough to slap it on. Picture doesn't do it much justice because that is the biggest disco ball I have ever seen!
