Hey All,
Just signed up yesterday after catching the card bug again.
I’m guessing its due to the NBA lockout and endless nights playing NBA2K12, or possibly the crappy Sydney weather that lead me to Ebay to pass the time the other night.
Not long after searching about I picked up a Dwyane Wade & Evan Longoria rookie cards and straight after that I purchased a box of cards and now it seems like 1994 all over again! Lol.
Judging by my rookie purchases you can easily assume I’m a HEAT & Rays fan but apart from that I’m a big NBA fan in general.
I’m not a bandwagon HEAT fan either as I the majority of my card collection has been centred around Glen Rice since I started collecting in 94.
I’ve followed the HEAT since then and caught them play the Hornets & Cavs last December at the Triple A and about two weeks before I caught the Knicks v Nets at MSG.
Beside a 09/10 HEAT team set I picked up in LA last year I haven’t collected a card since about 99 but I’m really looking forward it.
The first bball card I acquired was a 93/94 Upperdeck Team MVP of Mitch Richmond….. It cost me a micro machine in a friendly trade at primary school and collected regularly till year 11 when I filled my backpack with text books instead of card folders lol.
I will primarily be collecting NBA cards unless anything special catches my eye and look forward to posting on threads and doing some trading in the near future.
So that’s about my quick rundown and thanks for having me aboard!
Cheers, Luke
