Hey guys

Please excuse me if this information is listed elsewhere and I just don't know... but

Can someone please tell me what 'Bump', 'Bump to the top' & 'Straight to the top' means?

I have seen it a lot and am not sure.

If there is a section that describes terminology, feel free to handball me to that section

Thanks

Adam,

basically those words u highlighted and similar ones is what people use to get their old threads back to the first page.

For example:

Say you have a Wanted Items Thread you post it up today. No one replies for a week. It may end up on page 3 or 4.

So what you do is type another message in your own thread to get it back to page 1 first thread. So NEW people get a chance to look at it.

so essentially your bumping it back to the top. it is just a common thing people have been saying on forums for ages.

you could type anything you want really like a joke in there and it will still bump your thread to the top due to the forum being ordered by latest post.

"Bump" is what fergie has in her trunks
"Straight to the top" is where Goose and Maverick went at the Top Gun comp.
